Guineas and a Half. and bought him of one Marsden, The Prisoner
Green has also a Horse at Hollingsworth's Stables. and Oliver has
a Horse at the same place which cost him nine Guineas, That he (the
Examinant rode out once to Higligate with the Prisr. Green and dined
with him at The Fox on Mutton Chops, and drank a Pint of All with
a Bottle of Red Port between three of them, That he found his Mare
was broke down and he has never rode out sinceThat the first
time he met with Green (the Prisr.) was at the White Hart or the Swan
at Windham about three or four Years ago, he was sitting in the
Tap of the Inn, and says he did not know Green before, That Green
was at Woolwich at the same time with Examt. but they had no
Acquaintance together there, That he met Green about a Month
ago at Napier's looking at a Horse, He does not recollect seeing him
till then since he saw him at Windham, Has known Edwards as
being the Man who committed the Frand for which he (the Exmt.)
was convicted at Norwich That he might have heard of the name
of Pilloe but he never heard of his having lost any Money. Except by
reading the news paper That he first saw Oliver at his Master's Shop
as he pass't by about three Weeks or a Month ago, Green was not with
him, He never had any Dealings with OliverThat he saw
Oliver at the King [..] Head last Monday, Green might have been in an
adjoining Room but Examt. does not know that he (Green) was
there, That he did not walk on Monday last in Company with Green
or OliverThat he thought Oliver a very sharp Fellow, That he
saw Green on Friday during the Old Bailey Sessions, Green told him if
he wod. with draw his Recognizance he (Green) wod. payOliver was
not present, Sunday and Monday last he stayed at House sharping
his Saws, and did nothing elseOn Saturday last he was at the
Old Bailey and dined at the Saracen's Head Snow Hill with Mr Jones
an Attorney to whom he paid one Guinea i.e. half a Guinea for
