The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint James within
the Liberty of Westminster
in the
County of Middlesex
.
Sheweth
That by Virtue of an Order under the Hands
and Seals of I. Wright Esqr
. Mayor and
Wm. Plomer< no role >
Esquire
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said
City of London
and Liberties thereof one being of the
Quorum bearing date the 30th. day of December last
Alexander Vicary< no role >
was removed and conveyed from and out
of the Parish of Saint Vedast London
to the said Parish
of Saint James
as the place of his last legal Settlement
whereby your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved.
Your Petitioners therefore humbly Appeal
to this Court against the Adjudication
of the said two Justices and their said
Order and pray that the benefit of their
said Appeal may be saved unto them
and that the Reaing and determining
thereof may be adjourned until the next
General Session of the Peace to be holden
for the said City.
And Your Petitioners will ever pray Etc.
