and saith that the sum of Twenty two Pounds Twelve Shillings
and Six Pence mentioned in a receipt bearing date the Eighteenth
of May One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five and which
said Receipt is in the Words and figures and to the Effect
following (that is to say)
18th May 1785
(Reced of Mr. Daniel Gunstan the sum of Twenty two Pounds
twelve Shillings and Six Pence being in full discharge to Joseph
Bull of Foster Lane
London For and in respect of all Demands
Costs and Maintenance of the Female Bastard Child of Joyce
Young now Chargeable to the Parish of Saint Mary
Newington
in the County of Surry I say reced the same as
Overseer
of the said Parish as an Indemnity to him the said
