To Right Honorable the Lord Mayor & the rest of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the City of London & the Liberties thereof in General Quarter
Session of the Peace at the Guildhall of the said City Assembled

The Humble Petition & Appeal of the Church Wardens &
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Anne Within the
Liberty of Westminster in the Country of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order under the Hands & Seals of Robert
Peckham
< no role > Esqr. Lord Mayor and John Boydell< no role > Esqr . one other of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of London & the Liberties
thereof bearing date the third day of February last Elizabeth the
Widow of Thomas Lewis< no role > with her four Children namely Sarah< no role >
Aged fourteen Years John< no role > aged Twelve years Elizabeth aged Ten
years & Thomas< no role > aged Eight years & upwards were Removed and
Conveyed from & out of the Parish of Alhallows in Honey Lane
London to the said Parish of Saint Anne as the Place of the last
Legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth Lewis< no role > whereby your Petitioners
conceive themselves to be aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly Appeal to this
Court against the Adjudication of the said two Justices
& their said Order and Pray that your Worships
will please to hear & determine the same according
to Law

And your Petitioner s shall pray
