WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Alhallows in Honey Lane
London , That Elizabeth< no role > the Widow of Thomas Lewis< no role >
with her four Children were
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and were likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Elizabeth as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth
to be in the said Parish of Saint Ann in Westminster
and that thitherto She ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and
require you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Alhallows in Honey Lane
London , forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth and
her four Children namely Sarah< no role > aged fourteen years John aged twelve
years Elizabeth< no role > aged ten years, and Thomas< no role > aged eighty years & upwards
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Ann in Westminster
And they deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this third Day of February One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty four
