Maketh Oath and Saith That Pindar Crawford
< no role > now or late a free Trades on the Coast of Africa

Morton late Commander of the Active Store
Ship Thomas Maples< no role > late Serjeant in this Deponent s
Independant Company upon the said Coast and William
Copland
< no role > late Corporal in the said Company are
material Witness es for this Deponent And he this
Deponent in advised and verily believes that he
cannot safely proceed to Tryal without their Evidences
And this Deponent further Saith that soon after
this Deponent was put under an Arrest on the Coast
of Africa by the Orders of John Mickey< no role > then
Captain of his Majesty's Ship the Rotterdam
he delivered or caused to be delivered unto the
said John Wickey< no role > a List of Persons whose
Evidence would be material and necessary for him
to produce upon his Tryal for any Charges that might
be brought against him for any part of his Conduct
while he was stationed in that Country And this
Deponent further Saith That this Names of Pindar
