Kenneth Mackenzie< no role > Esquire
late Commander in Chief upon
the Gold Coast of Africa

Daniel Monro< no role > , late private Trader at Cape Coast
Castle in Africa , now residing in Jermyn Street in the Parish
of Saint James Westminster in the Country of Middlesex maketh
Oath and Saith that he this Deponent left Cape Coast Castle on the
Coast of Africa on or about the first day of September last and
Arrived at Portsmouth Harbour the twenty fourth day of
October last, where he was detained by Capitan Sinclair
for about three Weeks on board his Majesty's Ships the
Hyena and Hector, And this Deponent further Saith that
when he left the said Coast of Africa as aforesaid he was
Informed and verily believes Captain Pinder Crawford< no role > was
Gone down the said Coast with Captain Lawson to Leeward
of the said Fort of Cape Coast Castle , And this Deponent further
Saith that he verily believes that had the said Pinder Crawford< no role >
been at Cape Coast Castle ,he would [..] at the time this
Deponent left it he would have come to England with this
Deponent in his Majesty's Ship the Hyand to have given
Evidence upon the Trial of Captain Kenneth Mackenzie< no role > for
the Supposed Murder of Murray Mackenzie< no role > , And this
Deponent further Saith that the day he left the said Coast of
Africa , he Saw Serjeant Matiles and twleve days before he
left the said Coast, he saw Corporal Copland, And he this
Deponent verily believes, that the said Pinder Crawford< no role >
Thomas Maples< no role > and William Copland< no role > still remain
upon the said Coast of Africa
