THE Information of Nicholas Pouchet< no role > Male of the Ship Jamacce Planter
now lying at IronGate Anthony Blavet< no role > Commanded and Henry
Bradley
< no role > of Linch Bridge in the said County Taylor
Taken this 11th. Day of December 1783 before me
of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being uponOath saith their Oath severally Say and first the said Nicholas
Pouchet for himself Saith that on saturday last one Thomas Philips< no role > Bougtmon
present came on Board there are Ship then lying in Bell Wharf half Tier and
asked Informant if he wanted a Boy, to which he Answered in the Affirmative
and told the said Thomas Philips< no role > he might stay on Board. which he did
That the same day and soon after the said Ship was Transported to Rotherhithe Dock,

That the said Thomas Philips< no role > continued on Board the said Ship make
Monday Evening, last Informant having Business on Shore [..] quitted
the said ship about half past five O'Clock the same Evening with the
Captain leaving the said Philips and the Ship Keeper only on
BoardThat he this Informant returned on Board in about an
hour after but found no Soul on Board, and Examining her Cabbin
Missed thereout, One Gold Watch One pair of Silver Knee Buckles One Stock
Buckle. One Pair of Sleeve Buttons and One Velveret Waistcoat trimmed
with Gold Lace which had been feloniously taken and Carried away

And this Inform and lastly saith that the Gold Watch now produced
and found in the possession of the said Thomas Philips< no role > by the order
Informant Henry Bradley< no role > is the same Watch so stolen taken and
Carried away as aforesaid and that he verily believes the said Thomas
Philips is the person who Committed the said Felony and Robbery
the Ship Keeper above named having left the ship soon after Informant
and the Captain had Quitted the same, and no person but the said
Thomas Philips< no role > being left on Board. but who had absconded therefrom
before Informant returned on Board, and further this Informant saith
not.

And this Informant Henry Bradley< no role > for himself Saith that
he was present and did see the above named Thomas Philips< no role >
Offer the said Watch for Sale this day about Twelve OClock at the
Pewter Platter< no role > at Cock Hill Ratcliff and suspecting the same to
have been Stolen Stopt the same as also their said Thomas Philips< no role >
until he was brought before me the said Justice
