John Scott< no role > of Chipping Wycomb in the County of Bucks papermaker
and Moses Mossenton< no role > of Great Marlow in the County aforesaid
Bargeman severally make oath and say And first the said John Scott< no role >
for himself saith that on the twenty eighth day of February last forty
bundles of paper called Royal Land value twenty four pounds, forty
bundles of other paper called Double two pound value seventeen Pounds,
forty bundles of other paper called Single two pound value eight pounds and
ten shillings forty bundles of other paper called Single two pound value
eight pounds ten shillings and one hundred bundles of other paper called
Small hand value thirty two pounds ten shillings the property of John
Fryer of West Wycomb in the said County of Bucks paper maker and the
Manufacturer of the aforesaid paper was delivered at the Wharp of Thomas
Robinson at Wooburn in the County aforesaid to be put on board a certain
Barge of the said Thomas Robinson< no role > there in order to be Transported on account
of the said John Fryer< no role > to the City of London And this Deponent Moses
Mossenton for himself saith that all the paper abovementioned was laden or
board the said Barge of the said Thomas Robinson< no role > (to whom this Deponent
then was and now is Servant as Costbearer on board the said Barge) on the
seventeenth day of March lastAnd this Deponent further
saith that on the said seventeenth day of March the said Barge proceeded from Wooburn
aforesaid on her Voyage to the City of London And that in the course of her
said Voyage between the hours of eight and nine in the evening of the sd
eighteenth day of the said month of March (if being at that time very
dark) the said Barge then having the said paper on board as aforesaid
accidentally ran against one of the files of Black Friars Bridge by
means
