The Information of Peter Michell< no role > Esqr . and
James Pell< no role > Gentleman -taken before me this
5th. day of May 1783 .

Who being on Oath say and first the said Peter Michell< no role > for
himself says that a Bill of Exchange now produced purporting
to be the Bill of Exchange of the Governor and Council of [..]
Fort Marlborough for the Payment of Four thousand and Sixty
five pounds to Nathaniel Brown< no role > Esqr . or Order at twelve Months
sight and dated Fort Marlborough 31st. July 1781, is a Forgery,
as well as the Acceptance thereon purporting to be the Accep
-tance of this Informant. And the said James Pell< no role > for
himself says that on the 27th. day of July last a Person now
Present who calls himself William Wynne Ryland< no role > published
the said Bill of Exchange to this Informant at his Banking
house in Bartholomew Lane London together with the Accept
-tance which now appears thereon, on which Bill of Exchange
he requested to Borrow Two thousand pounds, which Sum
this Informant lent him, upon his leaving the said Bill
of Exchange and giving a Promissory Note for said Sum
as a Security.
