means whereof the said Barge was Sunk in the River Thames within the City
of London and great part of the aforesaid paper of the said John Fryer< no role > was
thereby unfortunately lost and the other remaining Part of the said Paper was
totally damaged and that all the said Paper of the said John Fryer< no role > so on board the
said Barge as aforesaid was [..] lost and [..] totally damaged and this Deponent
John Scott< no role > for himself further saith that the sum of Eight Pounds eight
shillings and eight pencebeing the Duties due and Payable
to his Majesty< no role > on the said Paper hath been duly paid and satisfied by
this Deponent (on account of the said John Fryer< no role > whose business this Deponent
transects) pursuant to the Act of Parliament in that behalf and this Deponent
further saith that such of the said Paper belonging to the said John Fryer< no role >
which was found and taken up after the said Baye was Sunk as aforesaid
and which came to this Deponent hands or knowledge was totally
Damaged and is wholly unfit for sale ex [..] sed.
