Who Confesseth that he this Examinant did break and enter
the Dwelling house of the said John Priestley< no role >
in Thames Street
in the City of London
on Tuesday night the eighteenth of this
Instant March and steal therein two pounds weight of Mace,
a Box with Weight and Seales, a Coat, 3 Silver Salt Spoons,
a silver Bottle Lable, a Silver gravy Spoon a Silver Wine Strainer and a Metal Spoon
That the Mace this Examinant offered to Mr. Thos. Wright of Oxford
Street who stopped the same as well as this Examinant. That the
Box with the Weight and Seales were found in this Examinant's
Box, That a Part of the Gravy Spoon and Strainer this Examinant threw
down the Necessary house of the Brown Bear< no role >
Alehouse in Bow
Street Covent Garden
and the remaining Plate this Examinants
sold to a Hardwareman< no role >
in Oxford Street
for £0..17..6.
That he sold the Coat to a Shopkeeper
in Rosemary Lane
for
£0..7..0 and the metal Spoon he threw away in Oxford Street
And this Examinant further says that no person whatsoever was concerned
with him in committing the said Burglary. That he entered the said Dwelling
house at about half an hour past eight o'Clock concealed
himself in the Cellar until the Family were in Bed and
then robbed the House.
