Who being on Oath severally say. And First the
said
Daniel Gardner< no role >
for himself saith, that Yesterday
Afternoon between the hours of three and four O Clock
this Informant was busy serving Customers in his Shop
and there lay on the Compter the Peice of printed Linen
Certen
now produced, which he soon afterwards missed, and
it being intimated to Informant, that the Prisoner now
under Examination Ann the Wife of
William Sharp< no role >
had stolen the Cotton, and was gone out of his Shop,
this Informant Followed her into the Street, and met
the other Informant Groome, bringing the Prisoner
towards his Shop, with the Piece of
CottonLinen now produced
in her Possession Says, that the Piece of Cotton contains
nineteen Yards, is the Property of himself and of
Robs Wilson< no role >
his Partner and is of the Value of twenty Shillings
and upwards And the said
John Groome< no role >
for himself
saith, that Yesterday Afternoon, he was standing at the
door of his House, which is opposite the Shop of the
other Informant Gardner, and saw the Prisoner go into
the said Shop, and take the Piece of
CottonLinen now produced
off the Compter
, and go away with it Informant
stopt the Prisoner, and she was brought
herback into the Shop
Says, that the Prisoner on being charged with the
Felony, did not say a Word.
