Informant Carey Bartlett for himself saith that about one of
the Clerk on Saturday Morning the first of March he stant
the Prisoner Nicholas Lurk< no role > came to Informant said Masters
House and askl for a Bed. that he slept there until a little
after Eight o Clock that same Morning. That he then rang the Bell and Informant
went up Stairs into his Bed Room. That the Prisoner then
Aske Informant if he could go of a Message for him to No 50 Corn
Hall that he wanted a little Money. That Informant replied
to the Prisoner that would go that the Prisoner then askd
Informant for a Pen and Ink which Informant fetcht him
that the Prisoner upon the Pen and being brought took
a Pocket Brook out of his Pocket which he opened and took
a PaperNoteout of it which he laid upon the Table and did as
appeared to Informant write same thing upon it and then
gave it Informant and ordered been to take it to No 50
Corn Hill. That Informant askl the Prisoner where Sum he was
to being him. That the Prisoner desiredto beInformant that he would
give the Note to a Clerk behind the Compter and the Clerk
wold alsk him whether he would have Bank & Cash
