John Prockter< no role > of Warwich Lane in the City of London
Perukemaker maketh Oath and saith that on Saturday last about
6 o'clock in the evening Dept was desired by a Mr. White to stop to
the deceds house there being an outery of MinderThat Dept named
went thither & saw the dead lying partly in the Kintchen near the landry
place of the said pair of StairsThat the deard appeared to Dept to be
just dyingThat Dept then inquired of some persons taking about the dead,
who had done the injury & was told it was a Lodger in the House up stairs;
upon which Dept & two persons with his named with Cutlasses went at to
apprehend the deced him & on being shewn the back Room of the two Pr of
stairs, one of the persons who went up stairs with Dept [..] hicted at
the Door & desired Mc. Ginnis to ofter the Door, on which sd. Mc. Ginnis< no role > asked
of an Offer was the & [..] being told there was he said he would Surrender
himself & immdy opened the Door-upon which Dept seized hold of his and
searched his pocket & in his might side Cat pocket he pound the house an
produced the Blade of which was BloodySays the (as Dept brought said
Mc. Ginniss< no role > down stairs Leslewed the dead to him and desired him two a
three times to took at the poor Man he had [..] deced or words to that effect
upon which said Mc. Ginniss< no role > sayed Iam an [..] Unhappy Man That Depts ther
took house down Stairs to take him away to the Comp [..] whilst they were
waiting in the Shop for a Coach he looked at said Mr. Ginniss's hand and
says that they were both very bloody; says that as Dept went with the said
Mc. Ginniss< no role > in a Coach to Woodstreet Compter Dept at & him that lelad commited
a very Wicket Act to which he said he hoped that god would give hin have to
present or words to that effectDept says that after he had left said Mc.< no role >
Ginniss as the Compter to returned when again about an hour after [..]
when he observed that thesd. Mc. Ginniss< no role > had washed his Hand & or Depts.
speaking to him about the matter that had happered he said that the Dead had
struck him ever the Breast upon which Dept examined his Breast & saw
no mark or apperance of hurt there or & informed sd. Mc. Ginniss< no role > of it w [..]
said that his Flesh was of such a Nature that if it was heat in it would
show as mark.

Edward Thompson< no role > of Horse Shoe passage Newgate Street peruke
maker maketh Oath and saith that on Saturday evening last he went togr.
with the last Witness John Prockter to the deceds house and was present when
the said Mr. Prockter apperhended him Daniel Mc Ginniss< no role > in the manner he has related And fourth
says that while the said Mr. Pockter & this Dept were waiting with the said
