The Examination of George Reid apprehended
by Thoma Gates< no role > , City Marshal, and brought before
me James Townsend< no role > , Esquire , one of his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the Peace for the said City Who saith,
that he believes, he is now about nineteen Years of
Age-Says, that he was bound an Apprentice at
Shields, to Mr Harris, Master of a Collier, bringing
Coals to London, for Four YearsSays, that he
served Mr Harris about a Year in the Coal Trade, when
he went three Voyages to Jamaica in another Ship belonging to the
Owners to whom Mr Harris's Ship belonged-Says,
that the Term of his Apprenticesip expired in april
lat, at which time he was in the Island of
JamicaSays, that he returned to England in
the July Fleet, on board the Ship Nelly, Captain
Burrows,Says, that after his return, he removed
on board the helly: untill the same was cleared and
