this 4th. day of April 1782
Who being upon Oath say and first the said John
Gamull says that last Night about twelve o Clock he went into
the Watch House in Carey Street
Lincolns Inn fields
where two
Watchmen
and a Woman were drinking Beer-That shortly
afterwards a person now present who calls herself Ann Thomas< no role >
came into said Watch House with another [..]

and the Watchmen and this Informant [..] continued drinkingintothere some time-That
The Beadle then insisted on the Watch House being cleared
on which this Informant went out-That the said Ann Thomas< no role >
and the two other Women came out after himThat the said
Ann Thomas< no role >
clasped him round the Waist and asked him
to give her something to Drink and on lossing him began
to stagger and was near falling in the Street when this Informant
assisted her to the foot Pavement and then quitted herThat
he immediately missed his Handkerchief out of his Pocket
That he returned back to her and searched her and found
under her Stays his said HandkerchiefThat he then left
heragain,when she went into the Watch House again and this
Informant had got about twenty Yards [..] when he missed
a Knife out of his Pocket which the said Ann Thomas< no role >
had
stolen from him and he immediately returned to the Watch House
and acquainted the said Charles Hall< no role >
of the same-And
the said Charles Hall< no role >
says that he took from out of
the hand of the said Ann Thomas< no role >
in the said Watch
