his Sons taken before me this
15th day of September 1781
Who being on Oath say and first the said William Sharpe< no role >
says that in the Night of Monday the 3rd or early in the Morning
of the 4th of September instant his House at Holborn Bridge
aforesaid was burglariously broke open and a Quantity of
Silver Plate several Watches and other Property of this Informants,
feleniously stolen thereout And the said Daniel Sharpe< no role >
for himself says that on the aforesaid Night he lay in the
Dining Room of the said House; that between 3 & 4 o'Clock
in the Morning he was awaked by the noise of his Fathers
Dog, when he saw a Man entering as the Dining Room
Window that when he entered he went to a Marble Stab
took a pair of silver Salts and handed them out to
a second Person (as this Informant believes) that stood
without the Window; that the said Man then went into
the Kitchen from whence he returned and looked towards
this Informants bed. That he then went down stairs
shortly after which (when a Waggon was going by) this
Informant heard the Shop door open. That he then heard
the Plate rattling after which the said Man came up
twice into the Dining Room again but did not stay;
that upon his going down the Third time and leaving
