London Lighter man who being on Oath saith that
having missed two Sacks of malt out of his Lighter
he suspected the same had been stolen be some person
on board of a west County Barge lying a long side of
his this Informants said Lighter,

Barge to request his leave to search the said Baye
who immediately consented, and then this Informant
went on board such Barge, and found about Eight
Buchells of Malt in two Sacks which he this
Informant knew to be his property, and to be
the same as was stolen from him, the same being
dried in a particular manner, says that Thomas
Butler the prisoner now under Examination
claimed the said Malt as his property, and this
Informant verily believes the same was stolen
by the said
Thomas Butler< no role >
, says that the Malt
is of the Value of twenty six Shillings and
upwards, and is the property of him this
Informant.
