14th. Day of August 1781
The Informant James Whitehorn on his Oath saith that
on Sunday Morning last he was in bed and awake in
his Lodgings at Mr. Joseph Partness at No. 2 Cavendish Court< no role >
in Hounditch
he saw the Prisoner Edward Mitchel< no role >
in the
Room gathering the Cloaths now produced and got out at the
Window with them, saw Prisoner get down in the Court and
gather the Cloaths up and went on, David Spiechoser on
his Oath saith that on Sunday Morning last about six
o clock as he was going thro Cavendish Court he heard the
other informant James Whitehorn cry stop thief and saw
the Prisoner make of with the Bundle of Cloaths now Produced
under his Arm that he was Stopped by informants John
Nellsonwhoon his Oath Saith that he last Sunday
Morning about six o clock was in Bishopsgate street
and
heard the other informant David Spiechoser cry Stop thief
and saw the Prisoner running, upon which he pursued
and took him with the Cloaths in his Apron which
are now produced and called a Constable and from
thence took him to the Poultry
Compter. And the said
James Whitehorn< no role >
saith that the Cloaths now produced
& found on the Prisoner are his property
