the Wife of John Chambers< no role > of Georges Court Red Lyon Street
Clerkenwell Middlesex Gentleman Elizabeth Adams< no role > of Union Street
near the Middlesex Hospital in the County of Middlesex Spinster
John Crawford< no role > of the Minories London Pawnbroker and Robert Bracke< no role > of Cow Cross in the said County of Middlesex
Watchmaker Who being severally on Oath say as follows, and
first this Informant Elizabeth Chambers< no role > for herself saith that
on theEighteninth day of November last past Charles Thompson< no role >
the prisoner now under Examination [..] who at that time
went by the Name of Christopher,and [..] took a lodging for
himself and, as he said, for his Wife, who was coming from
Bath, with the said John Chambers< no role > , and accordingly he and
the other Prisoner Mary Young< no role > , came together to her said
Husband 's House< no role > to bodge, and remained there until the 18th
day of the same Month, saith that on that day she this
Informant went out to market leaving in the House her
Servant , Elizabeth Adams< no role > , and also Mary Young< no role > in the
Dining Rooms, says that when she returned she discovered
that the said Mary Young< no role > was gone and that three had
been stolen from the House, a pair of Plated Candlesticks, two
Silver Pepper< no role > Cartors, two Silver Salt Sellers with Spoons
two Silver Table Spoons, three Silver Tea Spoons, two Silver
Cream pots, one Silver punch Ladle, and a Gold Watch
with a Metal Chain and a few Trinkets [..] saith
she hath viewed the Watch and Metal Chain produced
by the Informant Crawford and verily believes the same to
be the property of her said Husband and that the whole
things stolen are of the Value of ten Pounds and upwards
And this Informant Elizabeth Adams< no role > for herself saith she lived
as a Servant with the said John Chambers< no role > in the Month of
November last says she remembers the Circumstance of her
Mistress going to Market as is above related by her, and
that the said Miloner Mary Young< no role > desired her to bring in a fowl and some pork
Chops for her, says that soon after her said Mistress was gone
[..] the sd. Prisoner Young beckon'd to her, and told her
she wanted a Drachin of Silk to trim her Gown, and gave
her a Shilling to go and fetch it, says she accordingly went
and fetched said Silk, says the Shilling she gave her was
a bad ones says when she returned with the Silk which
was in about ten Minutes from her going out, she found
the Street and Parlour Doors both open, says she went up and
down the Home to find the said Prisoner Young but could
not, says she then discovered her Mistress's Watch to
have been gone, that soon after her Mistress came in &
the other Things were missed by her, says that she this
