And this Informant William Jones< no role > for himself saith
that about six or seven Weeks ago, the prisoner Owen came
to this Informants House and desired to leave a Trunk for a day or two
as he was going to a Place in Bond Street , and then asked him
to lend him half a Guinea, this Informant offered him first a
Guinea which Owen declined taken and then lent him
half a Guinea and in the Afternoon Owen brought his
Trunk and left it at this Informant's House< no role > saying that
he was then going to his place, says that Owen came
several times to this Informants Home, and they conversed
together in such a Way as for this Informant to understand
that Owen was in Places,

And this Informant for this saith that on or just before
the first of March prisoner Owen borrowed of this Informant
another half Guinea, in Order to bear his Expence, on the
first day of March, which is kept as a Festival by the
Welch,& Owen then declared he would endeavour to pay
Informant by the Sunday following if he could, says that
he this Informant then and for several Weeks afterwards
understood that Owen wasstillin his place in Bond
Street says that about three weeks afterwards Owen
came to this Informants House, and remained there about
two Hours ask'd this Informant if he could lend him
any more money,this Informwho answered that he had no
other money, them a few half pence he Pwen came the
next morning & was deniedbeinghaving any money lent
to him; says that he did not see Owen for a week after
this, and then only to shift his Clothes that he appeared
more shy and as if affronted at something, says thatbeing
Owen once apologized for its not being in his power to pay
the Guineas which Jones, in Answer, saidtoit would be
very aneptable as he was always in want of its say
that Owennonow called at this Informants House sold over
than he used to do and insomuch that this Informant from
his Conduct began to suspect he was not in the place
in Bond Streets says that about a fortnight ago Owen called
at this Informants House and sat about an bom, and to this
Informant then ask'd Owen for the Guinea, Owen said that
he had a bad Debt which he expected to received, & he would
call and pay this Informant either the latter End of that
Week or the beginning of the nextSays, that on
