Bishop gate Street London Cheesemonger
being Sworn and Examined before the Right
Honble Brackley Kennett< no role > Esquire Lord Mayor< no role >
of the City of London this 13th day of June
1780 Deposeth and saith

That on Thursday the Eighth day of June Instant about two
oClock in the afternoon William Brown< no role > the Prisoner came into
this Examinants Ware House in Bishop Gate Street London
together with another Person (to this Examinant unknown)
each of them having blue Cockcades in their Hatts, and the
Prisoner came up to the Compting House Window, Examinant
being then in his Compting House, that Examinant opened
the Compting House Window and asked the Prisoner what he
Wanted, that Prisoner Replied in the following Words Vizt. Damn
your Eyes and Limbs put a Shilling into this Hatt Examinant
asked upon what account Prisoner sayd put a Shilling into
my Hat or I have Party that can destroy Your House, that
Examinant accordingly gave the Prisoner a Shilling who
thereupon went off
