Deposeth and
saith
That on Wednesday night the seventhdayof June Instant between the
Hours of Ten and Eleven he thisExaminantInformant being upon Duty at the
Mansion House
Informwhere Information came that the Rioters were
Pulling of a House down in Bread Street
where three Companies of
the City Association went with Mr. Sheriff Pugh amongst whom
was this Informant when they arrived at the Excise office
they
Faulted andtheMr Barnard Turner< no role >
who had the Command of the
Association then repeatedly called to the Mob (who werethenin Possion
of Mr Donavan's House< no role >
in Broad Street
and throwing [..] Goods
out of the House into the Street to disperse or he would order his
Men who were loaded with Ball to Fire upon them which E [..] tation made them the more
violent in consequence of which the Association were ordered to
March within forty or Fifty Yards of Mr Donavans House when
Mr Turner again called to the Mob bad requested them to disperse and go away which
was not attended to, That Mr Turner then Orderedtoone Company of
the Association to Fire upon the Mob by Files which was complied
with and in consequence of which the Mob went from the Grout
of the House in Broad Street
into Wormwood Street
where they were again
fond upon [..] by the Association and totally dispersed That
then Mr. Turner this Examinant and several others went into the
House and examined every part thereof where they found that the Goods &
Furniture will intirely distroyed and in the Cellar [..]
