taken before me this 26th
day of August 1778
Who being upon Oath say and first the said Susannah Clark< no role >
for
herself says that on Monday last about 11 o' Clock in the day time as she
was going into her house in Golden Lane
she met her door a person
now present who calls himself Wright Stagg< no role >
with a Bundle in his
arms, that she sured hold of him and after some struggling the said
Wright Stagg< no role >
escaped but left the said Bundle which was found to commit
of three sheets two shirts four shifts and a Table cloth and other
things this Informant's property, and the said Edward Clark< no role >
says
that on Monday last at the Time about mentioned hearing the said
Susannah Clark< no role >
make an Alarm he came to her assistance and
pursued the person with whom she had been struggling and is very
sure that the person now present who calls himself Wright Stagg< no role >
in the same person whom he pursued as aforesaid
