Benjamin Turney< no role > Pupil to Mr. Joseph Elee< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. of
Throgmorton street London Surgeon and one of the
Surgeons of St. Thomas's Hospital maketh Oath and
saith that a Male Child about the Agt of 12 or 13 Years
was last Saturday betweenwho this Dept. believes to
be the deced was on Saturday last the 21st. inst. between
5 and 6 in the Afternoon brought to the sd. Hospital for
advise and assistance the sd. Child as it was said and
appeared to have been ran over by about at [..] or near
London Bridge which had fractured the Small of the sd.
Child, and this Dept. saith that he saw the deced there
in abt. a Minute after he was brought and that the sd.
Child was then dead, and Dept. believes he was dead
before he was brought to the sd. Hospital.

Thomas Kerne< no role > of the Toll House London Bridge London

one of the Collectors of the sd. Toll maketh Oath
and saith that on Saturday Last the 21st. inst. between 5 & 6
in the Afternoon Dept. being upon his Duty as a Toll Man
he heard a lay of stop a Cart which was said to have ran
over a Child on which, the sd. Cart being pointed out to
Dept. he ran and stoped the sd. Cart very near the sd. Toll
House, says there was a Boy in the sd. Cart, but no Driver
near it & and that the Driver thereof, namely Samuel
Peachy
< no role > otherwise Lack< no role > did not come up till about a
Men at afterwards when Dept. said told of him and
stoped him, when on Dept. having remonstrated to him
what to he had done he appeared to be much directed
and concerned. Says he has heard and believes that the sd.
Peachy was the same Evening conveyed to the Borough
Compter and that Yesterdaythe dayhe was sent to the Poultry
Compter .
