MIDDLESEX COMMITMENTS.

39 Jonas Burborough< no role > , from New-prison , committed by J. Gretton, Esq;
on oath of Robert Britten< no role > and another, on suspicion of stealing a great
quantity of linnen, Etc. the property unknown. Dated Dec. 15, 1777.

Detained on oath of Mark Batchelor< no role > and another, for burglariously break-
ing and entering the stables of the Right Honble Lord Ailsford, and
stealing a box coat, 2 pair of buckskin breeches, a velvet cap, a sustian
waistcoat, the property of Lord Ailsford and Thomas Nichols< no role > . Dated
Dec. 24, 1777.

Detained on oath of William Toalboy< no role > , for burglariously breaking and
entering the stables of Mr. Sallis, and stealing a silver watch and a pair
of silver shoe buckles, the property of the said William Toalboy< no role > .

Detained on oath of John George Payne< no role > and others, for feloniously assault-
ing him on the highway, and taking from his person a watch, his pro-
perty. Dated Dec. 24, 1777.

on oath of Richard Mardell< no role > , on suspicion of having been guilty of di-
verse felonies and robberies. Dated Dec. 19, 1777.

Detained by Sir John Fielding< no role > , Knt . and S. Wright, Esq; on oath of Isaac
Pratt
< no role > and others, for feloniously assaulting him on the king's highway
in the county of Kent , putting him in fear, and feloniously taking from
his person 1 guinea and 2 half crowns. Dated Dec. 24, 1777.

Detained on oath of George Hutton< no role > and others, for feloniously assaulting
him on the king's highway in the county of Surry, putting him in fear,
and feloniously taking from his person a watch and a silver seal. Dated
Dec. 24, 1777.

and S. Wright, Esq; on oath of James Boult< no role > and Joseph Clack< no role > , for
feloniously receiving in the county of Hereford a silver watch the pro-
perty of the said James Boult< no role > , knowing the same to be stolen. Dated
Dec. 24, 1777.

Detained on oath of Samuel Peach< no role > , Joseph Clack< no role > and others, for feloniously
assaulting the said Samuel Peach< no role > on the king's highway in the county of
Middlesex , putting him in fear, and feloniously taking from his person a
gold watch with a gold chain and two seals, his property. Dated
Dec. 24, 1777.
