MIDDLESEX COMMITMENTS.

Detained on oath of William Woodhead< no role > and others, on suspicion of being
concerned with another person not taken in stealing one white dimitty
petticoat, the property unknown. Dated Sept. 25, 1777.

Detained on oath of Alice Atwood< no role > , on suspicion of stealing out of the yard
belonging to the dwelling-house of James Atwood< no role > , at a late hour of the
night, one white fringed quilted linnen petticoat, his property. Dated
October 1, 1777.

Detained on oath of Thomas Vaughan< no role > , on suspicion of stealing out of his
dwelling-house at a late hour of the night, in company with a man not
taken, 3 china cups, 2 saucers, a china bason, Etc. the property of the
said Thomas Vaughan< no role > . Dated Oct. 1, 1777.

Esq; on oath of Margaret Webster< no role > and another, for stealing out of the
yard of Thomas Wakes< no role > a pair of womens shift sleeves, the property of
