Shillings and two pence and this Deponent Saith that thereupon in he this
Deponent procured the Lord Mayor to Certify that the said James Pottts< no role > had
Entered into the East India Company's Service in the Capacity of a Soldier ,
which Certificate this Deponent then Immediately declared to the said Mr.
Reynolds and this Deponent Saith that the said Mr Nixon then Represented
to Mr. Reynolds the oppression and impropriety of this Deponent being
Oblidged to pay the said Twelve Shillings and two pence as this Deponent
has been Guilty of no Neglect on Misconduct in Respect of the said
Recognizance and that therefore he the said Mr Nixon considered it as and
Imposition in taking of the Same from this Deponent Where pon the said Mr
Reynolds fell into a passion and some Words having [..] son between him
and Mr Nixon he the said Mr Reynolds in a passion tore the said Letter
and Certificate and threw the same into the fire declaring that it should
Cost two Guineas more to get the said Recognizance Discharged
