General Session of the Peace (at
the Guildhall London) September

William Bishop< no role > of the Parish of Saint Bartholomew the Great
London Taylor maketh Oath and Saith that He is and hath been
for several Years well Acquainted with the Prosecutor Francis
Rowley Saith that he hath been informed and believes to be true
that in the Night of the Second day of September instant the said
Francis Rowley the Prosecutor was assaulted by the said William
Upton the Defendant at the Hand and Shears in the said Parish of
Saint Bartholomew the Great London by putting an Unloadon Pistol
to his Breast saying at the same time that shall do for you or
words to the like Effect and Snapped the pistol at him whereby he
was put in Bodily Fear That the said William Upton together with
Two other House Keepers Entered into a Recognizance (for the appearance
of the said William Upton) on the Third Day of September instant at the
next General Session of the Peace to be holden at the Guildhall in and
for the City of London to answer unto the said Complaint Further
saith that the said Francis Rowley the Prosecutor is at this present
time so very ill and hath been so ever small Tuesday last and is
Attended by Mr. Pitcavin Doc of Mysir who hath informed him
the said William Bishop and which Information he between to be
true that the said Francis Rowley the Prosecutors is unable to leave
his Bed without Haranding his Wife whereby he hath it not in his
power to Attend and preper a Bill of Indictment against the said
William Upton the Defendant on the above prosecution
