William White< no role > At the Prosecution of John Tullock< no role >
for Felony

James Cleland< no role > of Wapping Street in the Parish of Saint John
Wapping in the County of Middlesex Glazier and Walter Taylor< no role > of
the Eastsmithfield in the said County Sail Maker severally make
Oath and say-and first the said James Cleland for himself saith
that some time in the Month of July last the above named John
Tullock sailed from the river of Thames bound for Riga and other
parts abroad-That he hath since received several Letters from the
said John Tallock one of which is Dated at Riga the 23d day of August
last wherein the said John Tullock informs this Deppeont that the expected to be
is London the later end of October or November last
That on or about the Sixth Day of December instant he this Deponent
received another Letter from the said John Tullock dated at
Inverkeibhing the 30th. Novr. 1775 wherein the said John Tullock
informs him this Deponent that he has been very Ill for some
time back and also all his Family otherwise he the said John Tullock
would have seen him this Deponent at London and that he the
said John Tullock would set out for London and that he the
this Deponent verily believs the said John Tullock will arive
in London in a very few Weeks and that he would have been in London
to presecute & give Evidence against the said William White at this
present Session had he-the said John Tullock not been prevented by
Sickness as mentioned in his said LetterAnd the said Walter Taylor for
himself Saith that he is well acquainted with the said John Tullock and
that he hath seen the Letter last above mentioned from the said John Tullock
to the above Deponent James Cleland and that the same [..] the hand
writing of the said John Tullock-and that the said John Tullock hath
not been in England since he sailed from the River James bound for Riga
or in any part thereof to his knowledge and Belief
