WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Giles
London, That a Child named
Elizabeth Linnard< no role >
aged three years and upwards did
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of
Ann Daniel< no role >
as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said
Elizabeth Linnard< no role >
to be in the said Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate
and that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Giles
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth
Linnard
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Bottolph Aldgate
And her deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for her according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this third Day of June One Thousand
