Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of Thomas Innegan< no role > of Great
Winchester street London Carpenter maketh Oath
that Yesterday between 12 & 1 at Noon Mrs. Lang
came to this Dept. and desired Dept. to go home with
her upon & supposition that a Servant of Mrs.
Lang had been brought to Bed of a Child that Dept
went home with Mrs. Lang and on searching the
Copper in the Washhouse [..] discovered a new
born Male Child dead with its there at cut in the
Copper, the sd. Copper being near full of water, and
the water much discoloured with Blood; say & the
Woman suspected to be delivered of the Child put
her heard in the Water and pulled out removed and
said there was no child: says she had quaterman
to suspect the sd. Woman to be the person who was
delivered of the sd. Child by reason that Dept. same
Drops of Blood full upon the Place where the sd.
Woman stood. Says the asked the sd. Woman before
the Child was found what she had done with the Child
on which she denied that she had been delivered of
any Child; that on asking her if she had made any
Provision for the Child she answered she had provided
some long stays, and think for it, says before the
Child was discovered she saw or law Knife bloody in a
Portidge pot in the such on which Dept. [..] sharped
the sd. Woman with having cut the said Child
There at and them proceeded to search for the Child
as above to which she answered that she was
surprised Dept. shod. be a her with such a thing.

Oath that Yesterday abt. Noon Mrs. Lang came to Dept
Mr. Snell's Compting House to her Husband soon
after which one of the Clerks desired Dept. to go into
the Coupting House to Mrs. Lang who two apprehended
wod. be such: that Depts instantly went to her & desired
her to come into the House which she delivered and
desired to step to her House to look after her Child [..]
till she returned that Dept. immediatly went there
where she found Mrs. Innegan and the Servt. suspected
to be delivered of a Child in the Hitchman the sd. Servant
seting in a Chair: that Mrs. Innegan said there was
Child in the Copper & requested Dept to see its which Dept.
same time office [..] did and discovered [..] a the Here at of it
to be cut Says that Dept. then said to the sd. Woman, Oth [..]
what have you done at which the made no Answer
