Sarah March< no role > Widow of the deceased maketh Oath
and saith that or Saturday the 4th. last. abt 9 o'Clockafter
the deceased having reced his Wages came home & pulled
of his Garters in Order to go to bed as Dept. thought, but
that presently afterwards tied on his Garters again
and said to his Bror. who lodged in the House with him, come,
come along, that the deced went & fetched Walter who
lodged near there: that they all three so tent to fetch
tree or Stump they cut down that day upon the Heath
near where they had been at work: that in a little better
then half and Hour they all with one Taylor & one
Dickinson returned home, the deced being all over Blood
and Speechless: that Dept. asked Robert what had been
the matter who made answer that sd. Walter and the
deceased had been fighting together; that the deced
was put into Bed and continued speechless, that
on Tuesday following he was carried to St. Bartholomew's
Hospital where he died last Saturdaysays that

of Mineing Lane Surgeon at Mr. William Sharp< no role > 's Surgeon and
Rain Gregson< no role > of Dresser at St. Bartholomew's &
Hospital maketh Oath and saith that on Tuesday the
7th. inst. to the best of this Dept. Knowledge & Belief the deced
was brought to the said Hospital his Skull being
fractured, thatDept.Mr. Robert Young< no role > one of the
Principal Surgeon belonging to the sd. Hospital with the advice
of the next of the Surgeons in Deponent's presence
took off park of the Scalp and fond a very large
Fracture upon hisSkullS [..] ll that [..] [..] hurt he received was
from the beginning declared to be mortal and that he
died by means thereof on Saturday last the 18th. inst.
That Dept. thinks it impossible for the Hurt to be
occasioned by any Ball discharged from Fire Arms
and is clearly of Opinion it was occasioned either by
a fall or by [..] violent Blow given by a dangerous Weapon.
