To the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor and the rest
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of London
in General Session of the Peace at Guildhall in and
for the said City Assembled

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Nicholas in the City of
Durham

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order
under the hands and Seals of the Right Honble. Sir Mattw.
Blackiston
< no role > Knight Lord Mayor and F:Cokayne Esqr.
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London (one of the Quorum) bearing date the 24th.
day of July 1761 Hannah Black< no role > wife of David
Black
< no role > who is gone from her was removed from
the Parish of St. Sepulchres London to the Parish of
St. Nicholas in the City of Durham as the Place
of her last legal Settlement whereby your Petitioner
conceive themselves to be agrieved and against the
Said Order do Appeal

Your Petrs. therefore humbly pray
that he benefit of the said Appeal
may be saved to them and that
the hearing and determining thereof
may be Adjourned untill the next
General Quarter Session of the
Peace to be holden for the said
City of London

And Your Petitioners shall pray Etc.
