the said Mr. Hutchinson rected Satisfied and relied on the said Mr. Hall's taking
care of the Appeal, but not having as he informed this Deponent and as
this Deponent believes afterwards received any Letter or Account from
the said Mr Hall about the said Appeal although the said Mr. Hall by the
aforesaid Letter had promised he would write to him, and the said Mr.
Hutchinson had wrote to him several times, the said Mr. Hutchinson
at length in the Month of March last, wrote to this Deponent about
the Appeal, and after taking, Notice of his not having heard from Mr Hall
since the said Letter of the thirteenth of October desired this Deponent
to go to the said Mr Hall in order to know what he had done about the said
Appeal and this Deponent did accordingly several times wait upon the
said Mr. Hall concerning the said Appeal And Saw him, at his house
where he told this Deponent that he had taken Care of the Appeal and
was well acquainted with the Attorney concerned for Sr. Sepulchre
And that the Appeal would be granted with the usual Costs and
that there was no Occasion to send for the pauper or to that effect of which
this Deponent acquainted the said Mr. Hutchinson at Durham who
thereupon rected Satisfied for Some time but not hearing for a
considerable Time any more from the said Mr. Hall, he the said
Mr. Hutchinson by Letter desired this Deponent to let him know if
all was concluded and done, and then this Deponent applied again
to the said Mr. Hall but was not able to get any Account from him in what
State the said Appeal was nor what he had done in it nor procure the papers
from him relating thereto And this Deponent well remembers that in the
beginning of the Month of March last upon his applying to the said Mr.
Hall at this House about the said Appeal the said Mr. Hall told him this
Deponent that he was just going into the City to the Attorney for Saint
Sepulchres for that every Thing was done to Satisfaction And that if
this Deponent would Call upon him that day Week he should Settle every
Thing And this Deponent did wait upon the said Mr Hall that day
Week according to his the said Mr Hall Appointment, when to this
Deponents great Surprize he was told by the said Mr Hall Clerk that
his Master was gone that Circuit and should not return in less than
Six or Seven Weeks And after the said Mr. Halls return from the
Circuit this Deponent waited upon him at his house and up braided
him for his trifling behaviour which was the last time this Deponent
was at the said Mr Halls or with him about the Affair and the said Mr Hall
then declined to Settle with or Satisfy this Deponent touching the above
