Mr Harleys Cloaths & Blood upon Several Parts
of his Face

Taken and Sworn ye. 3d. Day of
December 1763 . before me

James Owen< no role > Constable of Portsoken Ward being
Sworn upon his Oath saith

That he was one of the Constables who attended Mr
Harley from his Chariot to the Fire & that Mud
Thrown in Great Quantitys be ye Populace towards
the Fire

That after the Paper was Burnt & Mr Harley ye Chariot
was Returning towards Cheapside & He saw ye Prisoner
with a Stick in his hand wch he beleives to have been
Part of a Faggot used at the Fire & saw him Throw
a Stick at ye Chariot & hit the hinder Part of the
Chariot

That he kept his Eye upon ye Prisoner & Did not
loose Sight of him till he was Apprehended
