At the General Session of the peace of the Lord the King holden for
the City of London at the Guildhall within the said City on Monday
the twenty fifth Day of Febry 1754 and in the 27th Year of
the Reign of King George the Second.

The Jurors for our Lord the King upon their Oath present that
William Ingram< no role > late of London Wine porter and divers others whose
Names are aspect unknown to the said Jurors On the First Day of
Janry in the twenty 6th [..] year of the Reign of one sovereign Lord
George the Second king of Great Britain etc. and on divers other Days &
times between that Day and the Day of the taking of this Inquires
At London aforesaid at the Parish of St. Martin Outwich in the
Ward of Bishopsgate within the Comon Footway to wit in
and upon the west side of a certain public Street called Bishops
gate Street then and there used for all the subjects of our said lord
the King to go return pass repass on foot at all times of the
year at their will and pleasure with force & anns did lay
put and place and did cause to be layd put and placed certain
Ropes and pullies that is to say twenty Ropes and ten pullies
in and your the East side of the said Comon Footway there and
continued the said Ropes and Pullies so Placed there for de [..]
long and unreasonable spaces of time to wit for the space of form
hours and more upon every and each of the said several Days & times respively
Whereby the said footway during the said spaces of time was blocked up [..]
and rendred dangerous and by reason thereof the subjects of our said lord
the King could not during the said several spaces of time on any of them
togo return pass and repass in and along the said Comon Footway there so poor
and Safely as before they might and were accustomed and then of right
ought to house done To the greatComon Nusance of all the hi [..] subjects
of our said lord the King going returning passing and repassing on First in
and along the said Comon Footway To the evil Example of all others in the
like Case pending and against the peace of our said lord the King his [..]
& Dignity.
