.London to wit. The Jurors Present that the Deft late of the Parish of St. Martin

Carman on the first January 1749 and at diverse othertimesdays and times between the sd. 1st. January & the day of taking this Inquisicon
in the Parish & Ward afd with force and Arms Etc unlawfully & injuriously did put and place & cause to be put & placed several Carrs or Carts
to wit Five Carrs or Carts in a certain Street there called Queen Street
being the Kings common Highway there for all the Subjects of the
sd. Lord the King with Horses Coaches Carts and Carriages to go pass & repass at their Will & pleasure and the said several Carrs or Carts so as
afd put & placed in & upon the sd. Kings common highway there from the sd. 4th. day of January until the sd. day of taking this Inquisition
in the Parish and Ward afd the said Deft did voluntarily permit to be, stand & remain there so that the sd. Subjects of the sd. Lord the King
in through & about the sd. common Highway there about their necessary Business could not so freely go pass & labour with their Horses
Coaches Carts and Carriages as they were accustomed & ought to do to the great & common Nusance of all his sd. Maties. Subjects passing &
repassing in by and through the sd. common highway & against the peace of our present Lord the King his Crown and Dignity Etc.
The Case
The Deft is a Master Carman in Queen Street
Cheapside
& Owner of several Carts which for a long time last past he
has placed in the open Street there not only before & until the finding of the Bill against him but since, These Carts are without Horses
& are placed there for his convenience to be ready when he shall have occasion for them. The I [..] est of the Ward of Vintry presented
