first the said Sarah Browne< no role > for herself saith that the above [..]
Defendant who on or about the Twenty fourth of November [..]
committed to the Poultry Compter by the Name of Jeremiah [..]
did on the Eleventh of September last excute to this Deponent [..]
of Attorney (now in this Deponents Custody) in the Name of and as [..]
real Person of Arthur Murphy< no role > of his Majesty's Ship the Pembroke
empowering this Deponent to receive from the Honourable the Commiss [..]
-oners of his Majesty's Navy the Wages due to the said Arthur Murphy< no role >
for his Service on Board the said Ship the Pembroke And this Deponent
JohnPurchess< no role > for himself saith that he is a Subscribing Witness
to the said Letter of Attorney and that he this Deponent did see the said
Defendant who was Committed as aforesaid by the Name of Jeremiah
Sullivan
< no role > , sign seal and execute the said Letter of Attorney in the Name [..]
of and as the real Person of Arthur Murphy< no role > of his Majesty's ship the
Pembrooke empowering the abovenamed Deponent Sarah Browns< no role > to
receive from the Honourable the Commissioners of his Majesty's Navy
the Wages due to the said Arthur Murphy< no role > for his Service on Board the
said Ship the Pembroke And this Deponent John Rogers< no role > for himself
saith that he was in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and
Forty Six Master and Commander of a Merchant ship or Vessel called the
George William and that the said Defendant Jeremiah Sullivan< no role > and
one Arthur Murphy< no role > did then both belong to and were Sailors on Board
the said Ship and the said Jeremiah Sullivan< no role > and Arthur Murphy< no role >
were both Pressed from on Board the said George William< no role > into his
Majesty's Service And this Deponent further saith that the said Jeremiah
Sullivan committed to the Poultry Compter as aforesaid is the said
Jeremiah Sullivan< no role > who did belong to the said ship the George William< no role >
and always went and was knownby the name of Jeremiah Sullivan< no role >
and never went nor was known by the Name of Arthur Murphy< no role >
And this Deponent Banjamin Broadbrook< no role > for himself Saith that in
the Year one Thousand seven hundred and Forty six he did belong to
the said Ship the George William< no role > and that the said Jeremiah Sullivan< no role >
and one Arthur Murphy< no role > did then both belong to and were Sailors on
Board the said Ship And this Deponent further Saith that he well
knows the Person of the said Jeremiah Sullivan< no role > and Arthur Murphy< no role >
