Elizabeth Ross< no role > Wife of Wm. Ross< no role > of Ruthand Court Aldersgate Street Taylor
Maketh Oath & Saith that on the Saturday before Samuel Denton< no role > Died, She
heard his Master Thos. Pearson< no role > say that if ever he should recover he would
Use him worse than ever he did, And that the sd. Samuel Denton< no role > used to comen
to this Deponts house he Complaind of his Masters beating of him and of
hunger, Especialy about quarter of a year ago he came to this Deponts.
house & complaind very much of his being beat by his Master and
likewise Complaind of hunger & that he had not Sufficient Victuall
to Eat

Wm. Ross< no role > of Ruthand Court Aldersgate Street Taylor Maketh Oath & Saith that
when the sd. Samuel Denton< no role > was Dead he saw Several Marks of Violence in his
Body such as black and blow Spotts Etc. And that he saw him the saturday
before and heard him Complain but in a very low Voice that he had a Pain
in his Bowells, But being so very week could not hear him say any thing
Else, further says that he used often to come to this Depont. house, And
then Heard him Complain of his Masters Ill Usage beating of him
