London Gentleman maketh Oath that the this Deponent
was on the tenth day of August last bound in a Recognizance
to Prosecute the Law against the abovenamed Kedd for
unlawfully taking upon him in the name of one Isaac Fox< no role >
otherwise Fooks< no role > and attempting to receive money of this
Deponent that was due to the said Fox otherwise Fooks
and intended to present him accordingly But saith
that at the time when the take fire broke out in Grocers
Alley London the said Deft Escaped out of the Poultey
Compter wherein her then was Imprisoned for the Cause
aforesaid As this Deponent has been credibly
informed by the Gaoler and verily beleives to be
true and this Depont. further Saith that he has
not been able to apprehend & Retake the said
Ked nor is he in any hopes so to do.
