Nathaniel Miller< no role > as principal

Gabriel Tomkins< no role > & John Surby< no role > as
Accessaries}

John Jesse< no role > of the General Post Office in the City
of London Esquire maketh Oath that he hath been
Credibly Informed and doth verily believe that the late
Robbery of the West Mail (for which Offence Nathaniel
Miller is now a Prisoner in Newgate ) was Committed
on or about the Fourth day of August last at or near Hither
Blackwater in the County of Surry And that the Post Boy
who carried the Mail and was so robbed lives as Hertford
Bridge in the County of Southampton And whose imployment
being to Carry the Mail in those Parts An Affidavit from him
Could not behadprocured during this Session or at least without very great difficulties And this
Deponent further Saith that Gabriel Tomkins< no role > and John
Surby
< no role > who are prisoners in the Poultry Compter for receiving
from the said Nathaniel Miller< no role > Some Bank Notes and other
Effects lost out of the said Mailandare intended to be
Prosecuted as accessaries after the Fact for receiveing
the same knowing them to be Stolen as soon as possible
after the next Assizes to be held for the County of Surry
in Case the said Nathaniel Miller< no role > Shall be there Convict
as principal in the said Offence as Aforesaid.

in the Old Bailey the 4th. day of
September 1746 .
