on the prosecution
of Alexander Godwin< no role >

The abovenamed Prosecutor
Alexander Godwin< no role > of Friday Street London
Merchant maketh oath that the only reason
why he did not exhibit a Bill of Indictmt.
agt. the sd. Susannah Jones< no role > was because he
had no other sufficient Evidence to prove the facts laid
to her Charge besides her own Confession
which Confession this Deponent saith was
occasioned by his promise of Forgiveness
to her and upon that accot. this Deponent
saith he was advised two ald have been too
hard to continue this prosecution without
other Evidence sufficient to convict her & which
he had not & lastly saith that he did
attend this Court last Session & that [..] was
not this the least Contempt of the sd Court
that he did not prosecute the sd. Deft.
Susannah Jones< no role > but for the reasons
only abovementioned
