Same by the Jurors of the Jury of the Country aforesaid in form aforesd. that is to Say on the Fifteenth day of February
in the 15th. Year of the reign of our said now Lord the King the said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. the Wife of John Nicholls< no role > late
of London Gentleman at London aforesaid to Wit in the Parish of Christ Church in the Ward of Farringdon Within
in London aforesd. devising & intending to pervert the due Course of Law and Justice and to induce the Jurors of
the Jury of the Country aforesd. upon the Trial of the Issue aforesd. to beleive that the sd. Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. on the
Ninth day of November in the sd. Year of our Lord 1739 in the Indictment aforesaid abovementioned was not
Present at Kensington in the said Indictment also mentioned when the sd. Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. & Edward Bygrave< no role > are
in & by the said Indictment supposed to have gone before the abovenamed William Morice< no role > the Justice aforesaid in
the said Indictmt. also mentioned & thereby to procure herself contrary to Right & Justice to be acquitted of the
offence aforesd. in the Indictmt. aforesd: above specifyed & charged upon her did then & there with force & Arms falsly
wickedly & corruptly Sollicite incite & endeavour to persuade one Mary< no role > the Wife of Thomas Tannatt< no role > to appear
at the Trial of the sd. Issue and on the said Trial falsly & wickedly to depose swear & give in Widence to the Jurors
of the Jury of the Country aforesaid that on the Ninth day of November in the Year of our Lord 1739 She the said
Mary Tannatt< no role > and the sd: Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. took Coach after Breakfast & went together to see the Tower & afterward
went to Billingsgate and there had Beef Stakes & Oysters and that they the said Mary Tannatt< no role > & Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683.
went from thence to Mrs: Merchants (meaning Catherine Merchant< no role > which sd. Catherine then lived in Five Foot Lane in
Thames Street London) And that they the sd. Mary Tunnatt< no role > & Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. took the sd. MrsMerchantwith
from thence to Mrs: Smith's in the Haymarkett & there Spent the Afternoon And that from thence they the sd. Mary Tannatt< no role >
and Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. returned to the house of the sd. Elizabeth & had two fowls for Supper And that She the sd. Mary lay
there the Night of the same Day And that She the sd. Mary was not out of the Company of the said Elizabeth all that
day And She the sd. Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. in order to induce the sd. Mary Tannatt< no role > so falsly to depose Swear & give in
Evidence as is aforesaid did then & there to wit on the sd. 15th: Day of Febry: in the 15th: Year aforesd: at London aforesaid
to Wit in the Parish & Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid Unlawfully & wickedly promise to give to her the sd: Mary the
Sum of £300 as a Reward for her deposing Swearing & giving in Evidence as is aforesd: Whereas in Truth and in
fact She the said Mary was not with her the sd: Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. or in her Company all or any part of the Same
Ninth day of November in the sd. Year of our Lord 1739 or the Night of the said Day or any part of the said
Night And Whereas in truth & in fact at the said time when She the sd: Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. did so sollicites
incite & endeavour to persuade the said Mary Tannatt< no role > to depose swear & give in Evidence as is aforesd: She the
said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. well knew that the said Mary Tannatt< no role > could not according to truth so depose Swear & give
in Evidence To the great hinderance of Justice To the evil Example of all others in the like Case offending & against
the Peace of our said Lord the King his Crown & Dignity And the Jurors aforesd: now here sworn & charged
to inquire for our said Lord the King for the body of the sd: City of London upon their oath aforesaid do further
present that the sd: Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. devising & intending as is aforesd: after the Issue aforesd: was so as aforesaid
