At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the City of London
at the Guildhall within the said City on Monday the twenty Seventh day
of June in the Seventeenth Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Second King of Great Britain etc. Before Simon Helin< no role > Esqr . Recorder
of the City of London Sir John Salter< no role > Knight Sir Joseph Hankey< no role > Knight
William Baker< no role > Esqr . Walter Bemard< no role > Esqr . Aldermen of the said
City and Others their Fellows Justices Assigned to keep the Peace
of our said Lord the King within the said City And Also to hear
and Determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other misdeeds
Committed within the said City

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Giles without Cripplegate London have exhibited their humble
Petition and Appeal unto this Court setting forth that by vertue of an
Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of the Right Honble
Robert Willimott< no role > Esqr . Mayor of the City of London and William Calvert< no role >
Esqr . one of the Aldermen of the said City two of his Majestys Justices of the
peace of the City of London (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the
twenty second day of April 1743 last past Hannah Smelt< no role > widow of John Smelt< no role >
deceased was removed from the parish of Saint Sepulchre London to the
said Parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate Alledging the said Parish of St.
Giles without Cripplegate to be the place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Hannah And that the Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved by the
Said Warrant or Order of thethesaid two Justices do therefore appeal
to this Court there from whereupon at the request of the Petitioners
It is Ordered by this Court that the Beinfeit of the said Appeal be
Saved unto them and that the Hearing and determining there of be
and the same is hereby Adjourned untill the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be holden for the City of London and that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Sepulchre (upon Notice of this Order) and all Persons concerned do Attend
the Court of the said Next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be
holden for the said City on Monday the tenth day of October next
at Eight of the Clock in the Forenoonhereto hear and abide the Judgmt. and
determination of the same Court touching the said Appeal And it is
