Ralph Thrale< no role > of Southwark in the County of Surry Esqr . and
William Goulding< no role > of the same place Gent . severally make oath
and say and first this Deponent Ralph Thrale for himself saith
that on Friday the Tenth day of October Instant and also on this
present day he this Deponent went to Bearkey Market London in
order to buy Oates and upon enquiry into the price of Midling English
or British Oates found the Common Market Price thereof on each
of the said Days to exceed Sixteen Shillings per Quarter And this
Deponent further saith that he did this day at Bearkey Market
aforesaid give Nineteen Shillings per Quarter for midling British
Oates and could not buy them for less And this Deponent further
saith that he is now Seized of a Freehold Estate of the clear yearly
value of Twenty pounds and upwards over and above all Charges and
Reprizes And this Deponent further saith that he is now an Housekeepers
in Southwark in the County of Surry aforesaid And this Deponent
William Goulding< no role > for himself saith that on the same Tenth day of
October instant and also on this present day he this Deponent went
to Bearkey Market London in Order to buy oates and upon Enquiry
into the Price thereof one each of the said days to exceed Sixteen Shillings
per Quarter And further saith that he on this present day saw
midling British Oates sold for Twenty Shillings per Quarter And
also saith that he did at the same time give Seventeen Shillings per
Quarter for the most ordinary oates he saw in the Market which were
much inferior to midling British oates and that he could not buy the
same for less And this Deponent further saith that he now is seized of a
Freehold Estate of the clear yearly value of Twenty pounds and upwards
over and above all Charges and Reprizes And this Deponent further
saith that he now is an House keeper in Southwark in the County of
Surry aforesaid And these Deponents further severally say that they
are Skilful in the prices of oates and that they are not nor is either
of them to the knowledge and belief of each of her a Corn Chandler Mea [..]
Factor Merchant or Importer of Corn or anyway Interested in any
oates to be Imported
