This Examinant Saith that on or about the tenth
day of this Instant November He being upon
Chesters Key Saw three men breaking open
a Cash which Stood under a Gate way belonging
to the said Key in which were Contained Guyne [..]
Redwood and that namely John Jones< no role >
one of
the sd. Three person took from the said Cask of
Redwood to the quantity of fifty two pound
Weight and he this Examinant took likewise
Redwood to the quantity of twenty two pounds Ws.

two persons whose names at present this Examint.
does not know to Carry the wood they had Stoln
to the house of one Thomas Marshal< no role >

followed them to the sd. place and heard the sd

Offer the same to Sell to the sd. Thomas
Marshal and Saw him take two pence a pound for
fifty two pounds and further Saith that he also
Sold to the sd Thomas Marshal< no role >
the same twenty two
pound which he had Stoln as above said and that
Marshal did not ask how he Came by it.
