Whereas Compaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesties Justices of the Peace
for this City and the
Liberties thereof (Quorum unus) by You the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. Andrew
HolbornLodnon
That Sarah
the Wife
of
Phillip Lodge< no role >
and her Child are
lately come to reside in your said parish not having obtaind any
Legal Settlement there and are likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
Phillip Lodge that about one year aged or upwards
he Lived as a yearly Hired Servant
with Mr Lilly for
the Space of one Whole year an upwards at the yearly wages
of Six Pounds P ann in the said Parish of St Bridgett al St Brides
And no other Subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
Said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
Settlement of the said

and her Daughter
to be in the said parish of St Bridgett al Brides

Require You the Churchwardens and Overseers fo the poor of

St Brides

And them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and provide for then according to Law Given
under our hands Seals this 21st. day of August
