a broken buckle now by him produced he received
on last Fryday from Richd Askew< no role > living in
Barbicane Silver Smith [..] and well knowes it to
be [..] part of his Wives buckle,itthe buckle being made by
him or his Servants & having twenty Four rose Diamonds
Sett therein, & he made about the same time a fellow of the
Same buckle whichShehe hath Still in his custody
and the sd. Richd Askew< no role > saith that he bought the said
peece of buckle of a young woeman whome he never
Saw before, & there view then eleven' Stones or Diamonds
in it when he bought the said peece for which be gave
her about eighteen Shillings & Six pence as he beleives but
can't be more certain of the price & he has Since taken
out of the sd. peece of buckle five of the sd Stones which
he made no in rings & Sent into ye. Country, & the sd. Samuell
Pattison further Saith that the sd. Anne Allen< no role > owned to
him & confessed that She seeing ye. buckle loose about
her mistress tooke it from her Mistresses Sides, as the
was goeing thro Aldersgate & put it into her pocket
& that she sold the sd Part of it to a Silver Saith in Barbican when the [..]
and the sd. Mary< no role > Wife of the said Samll. Pattison< no role > Saith She lost
her buckle the Seventh of February last & that the sd. Anne
Allen Saw [..] her wear the sd. buckle & [..] her the
buckle [..] & girdle wit from her drawer on the sd. Seventh of Febry in order to put
it on,the Seventh of Febry last,& She this Examint often
complained to the said Anne Allen< no role > of the lost of the sd buckle
